We sold everything, brought our dog, and moved to Cabo San Lucas. Now we call it home—and we’re helping you make the most of your time here.
A whole new chapter
Barbie and I are originally from North Idaho. I retired after 35 years working for UPS, and Barbie worked for 25 years in the Latah County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
After building our lives together, we decided to make a big change: sell everything and move to Cabo with our dog. A little like those start-over-somewhere-sunny stories you see on TV—except this one is ours.
We live permanently in Cabo San Lucas. That’s the perspective behind Mexitara: real people who live here, sharing practical help with people coming to visit.
Why we built Mexitara
Planning a vacation shouldn’t feel like taking on another job. And a great Mexico trip shouldn’t leave you paying for unnecessary extras long after you get home.
I created Mexitara to help you experience more, spend thoughtfully, avoid tourist traps, and get the practical stuff sorted before it eats into your vacation.
